Where it's Used
The Hardwick Classic Range is perfect for both internal and external use. However, natural oxidisation will accelerate when Hardwick Classic products are used externally in coastal areas due to high levels of salt in the air.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth will help remove any harmful deposits.
Maintaining
Periodically oiling all moving parts using a 3-in-1 or maintenance oil will aid the longevity of the product. High traffic areas will require more frequent maintenance and application during installation is highly recommended.
NOTE:
We recommend removing any ironmongery when decorating to avoid the risk of any chemicals, stains, paints etc affecting the finish (it is also a good opportunity to undertake maintenance at this point).
Also try to keep contact with metallic surfaces such as rings, bunches of keys etc to a minimum as repeated contact can scratch/damage the lacquer over time.
